WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO PUT “PIZZAZ” IN YOUR PRESENTATIONS?

There are many ways to get your audience involved in your presentation. Some are audience participation, stories, jokes, silly stunts, or songs. All of these work well, but they won’t work if you are a dud!

Listen to these words: Sparkle, lighten up, silly – What do they mean to you?

Some days when you are doing a presentation you sometimes don’t feel like being there or even being around people!
This normal, but everyone can spot it when you aren’t all there.

NOTE#### You have about five seconds to grab your audience’s attention before they go nuts on you!

There are four areas you need to work on to insure that “Pizzazz” takes place.

1. Your introduction: Do you know how to introduce yourself? Do you have a good handshake? Do you smile and look people in the eye? How do you look? Clean?? A slob? Wrinkled?

2. Your surroundings: Does it smell? Is it to small? To big? To cold?? To hot? To noisy? As you can see the list can go on.

3. Your presentation: Have you planned the program? Are you well prepared for emergencies? Is your presentation clearly outlined? Do

Pixar’s Joe Ranft’s 2 Rules For Living

Joe Ranft knew how to live. Considered the heart of Pixar’s films his sense of humor and gift for storytelling were legendary throughout the industry and throughout the world. How can you apply his life lessons to promoting yourself, your product, business, service or cause? Storytelling is key along with two others.

1. The journey is the reward.

I want it now. I can’t wait. Hurry, hurry. Show me the money. What do I get? Life will be better tomorrow.

Stop.

What about now? What about doing without knowing what will result, just for the fun of it?

This is what Kathan Brown, a client of mine who is legendary in the print making/etching world and who has worked with such artists as John Cage, Richard Diebenkorn, and Richard Tuttle, writes in the opening of her book, Ink, Paper,Metal, Wood:

“Thirty-three years ago when I founded Crown Point Press I didn’t have a clear plan, but I liked the feel of ink on my hands and the look of it after I’d printed it onto paper using an etching press. I liked working with polished copper, aromatic liquid tar, rosin from pine trees, and wax, heated and rolled

Finding the Best Childcare Resources

Childcare resources can be hard to find. As a parent, the health and well-being of your children is always your top priority. However, with an ongoing and often prohibitive expense like childcare, money is also an issue in almost all instances. There may be dozens of childcare services that are being promoted within your immediate area, but that doesn’t mean that any specific one is right for you. In order to determine what will best meet the needs of you and your children, you will need to further explore the various options, finding the best fit for your schedule and lifestyle. There are several possibilities.

Childcare Center

A childcare center is the most readily available option in most areas. Daycare centers are also often more affordable. You can expect to see a higher ratio of children to adults, though all the legal mandates of your state will need to be maintained. Before you explore childcare resources, know what those laws are. If you visit a daycare center that does not comply with these regulations, walk away. The safety of your children is not worth the risk. In addition, keep in mind that being exposed to

To Pee or Not To Pee

The eternal question of wetsuit urination

If it hasnt happened to you already, it will. You descend to 15 feet, and youll feel the sudden urge. You cant hold it. And theres no way you can get to a bathroom without spoiling the whole dive. So you consider if Im in the water, my urine will just dissipate and dissolve and disappear. Is it OK to whiz in the wetsuit?

The simple answer is yes. Take a leak.

The truth is, there is no health risk to watering the neoprene. Many people do not realize that urine unlike feces – is sterile, unless you have a urinary tract infection. It contains a lot of dissolved bodily waste (mainly nitrates), but poses no health risk to you. The only symptom of wetsuit whizzing is temporary warmth in your vicinity. But beware, if your urine is dark (a sign that it is probably strongly odorous as well), you might get a reaction from other divers, especially if they happen to swim through your yellowish cloud of warmth.

As a frequent diver, your best strategy for dealing with this common situation is counterintuitive: drink more water. A hydrated diver can

Choosing Your Scuba Diving Gear

Someone once said that scuba diving is like going back to Mother Natures womb albeit temporarily because every scuba diver would like to rise above deep waters no matter how cool the scene down there may be.

Scuba diving is a complicated sport that requires training and endurance. Scuba diving is not for the faint of heart, or for those who would shrink at the though of being submerged in water for a long time. This is not to say that scuba diving chooses its players because almost everyone can be a scuba diver, provided they do not have the age and health limitations.

Children as young as fifteen years old and in good health can train on scuba diving to prepare themselves for certification. However, all those interested to undergo training should fill up a health questionnaire and undergo medical checkups to determine their physical conditions.

While scuba divers have more opportunity to admire the fishery resources of the world, divers also dive for other reasons such as for scientific, commercial, military or recreational purposes.

Divers cannot go scuba diving without a certification even if they are doing it for fun. Majority of scuba divers do so

Imagine the next time you join a discussion about acer battery laptop. When you start sharing the fascinating acer battery laptop facts below, your friends will be absolutely amazed.

To discharge, simply run your device under the laptop battery’s power until it shuts down or until you get a low battery warning. Many, maybe most, laptop users run their machines on AC power most of the time, figuring that it’s better for the battery. If used on main power, the battery inside a laptop will only last for 12-18 months. Consider removing the battery from a laptop when running on fixed power. run your laptop using battery power until it switches off) then fully charge your battery once again. Are You Missing Out On Watching Thousands Of Television Stations On Your PC Or Laptop?

If you have never viewed Internet Television on your PC or Laptop, then you are really missing out on the great fun of enjoying thousands of television stations from all parts of the world. People are already searching online for free internet television and live internet television. Before the advent of Internet television software as it is today, there were three basic methods for viewing television programs.

The following were available options, which are still being used in many parts of the world:

  • OTA – over the air or broadcast television was the beginning of television broadcast signal delivery, and then cable and satellite television followed. The OTA method of television broadcasting is still being used in my countries while it is being phased out from the more developed countries. The first OTA broadcast was made in Washington, D.C., on April 7, 1927.
  • Heavy duty cumbersome ugly dish TVRO, Television Receive-Only Satellite television system, usually transmits its programs through a C-band or Ku-band frequency.
  • Direct Broadcast Systems – DBS – this was the most modern providing you with a couple of hundred satellite television channels, according to your particular package of predetermined programs of movie, spots,

Major League Baseball Players in Japan – Strangers in Paradise

The final match-up of the World Baseball Classic featured two teams from countries where baseball is a beloved sport – Cuba and Japan. Both countries are noted for producing fine players, some of whom are enjoying stellar careers in America. Presently, Ishiro and Matsui from Japan are two of the best and most consistent players in the majors. Making it in the big leagues in America is a big deal in Japan, a country that loves baseball and embraces its own professional teams.

American teachers first introduced the game to the island country in the 1870s, and it firmly took root. By the turn of the century, it was a sport throughout the nation and in 1936 the first professional teams were established. The current professional structure was created in 1950, with teams playing in either the Pacific League or the Central League.

The exchange of players between the Japanese leagues and Major League baseball is not a one-way street. The first American to play baseball in post-World War II Japan was Wallace Kaname Yonamine, a Nisei Japanese American who had played NFL Football but never had a spot on a Major League Baseball club. Yonamine had a

Making Your MySpace Profile Stand Out From the Crowd

There is little doubt that MySpace has taken the internet world by storm. The ability for members to make friends and displays their interest, hobbies and statistics (age, location etc.) has seen the site soar to one of the most popular websites on the internet.

It is suggested that the total number of MySpace members will soon be approaching 100 million; which is why it can be great fun to customize your own profile page to stand out from the crowd. You may have noticed from browsing friends profiles that many opt to display large images or videos on the page that take an age to load, so this may not be the best route to take to make an attractive looking profile.

I prefer to choose a nice light background with traditional black text, possibly adding a single video to the page. There are certainly some points to remember if you want to make your profile appealing to everyone. Consider that many members may still be using a dial-up internet connection, meaning that any large images or videos may take a long time to load. Also ask the opinion of your friends to gather feedback over what looks

Who Really Owns Celebrities?

Celebrities today seem to be up for grabs. Photographers and tabloid writers feel free to spy on celebrities and follow them constantly. Celebrities seem to have different feeling about this. Some celebrities play along with the paparazzi and seem to tolerate the intrusion in exchange for good publicity. Others are constantly embroiled in battles with the relentless photographers and often end up in court. The question undercutting all of this however is who, in fact, actually owns these celebrities?

Celebrity Ownership

Despite the pleas on some tearful celebrities, the answer is the people. The same individuals who made ordinary actors, singers, and politicians into celebrities in the first place actually hold the deed on celebrities. So long as celebrities stay in favor with the public, they continue to live a blessed existence of fame and fortune. But if a celebrity loses favor and begins to fade away, they simply cease to exist for much of the world. In some cases they might retain some of the fortune, but the fame is certainly gone.

An audience creates a celebrity. Many individuals have starred in movies or performed at concerts without gaining celebrity status. It is only when
